Article Marketing - Drives Traffic To Your Website?

Have you done searches on Google lately? Chances are that you have ended up on an Adsense site with a lot of articles on it. Sometimes you will find that the site contains original content, but most of them are just copies from the many article directories that can be found on the net.

What has this to do with article marketing then?

Well, recently I found one of my articles on a site by doing a simple "link:legaldivx.com" search on Google. It was one of those cookie cutter sites, and sure enough - the other links were also the same kind of site. But the main point is - I got several links back to my site doing nothing more than posting an article!

It was then I started to think: What if I were to submit a lot of articles to a lot of article directories, using different themes and with different sites in my resource box on every submit?

Chances are that a lot of sites will adopt my articles and thus starting to drive traffic to my sites just by displaying the link in my resource box. The search engines will love it, because the sites will get lots of related backlinks to different urls on the sites, all having different keywords.

But, can you just write some short story and go ahead and post it then? I would think not; here are a few pointers to think about...

Do not mix up the reasons why you promote the articles with the reasons why you write them.

When you are writing an article, there are at least three key benefits to why you are promoting them; a) branding, b) lead generation and finally c) promotion. These are all part of the optimization efforts.

The one reason why you write an article, and do not forget this, is to inform your audience. If you fail to focus on this primary and most vital purpose, it will fail in the three promotion benefits, since none will be interested in reading your stuff.

With that being said; you need to draw attention to your article and thus making people read what is in your article, followed by the next logical step; make them click on your resource box.

How is that achieved? - Write better content!
