Article Marketing - Click Throughs VS Target Traffic - Thin or Think Articles

It appears that a very large percentage of the article authors who write on the top online article submission sites are more interested in click-through traffic. This is why they write articles and why they post on article marketing sites, as that is its original purpose of such sites.

Indeed, someone writing better articles can perhaps gain the perception of expert and then get more targeted traffic. There of course is that issue of targeted traffic VS traffic. Still I find that debate interesting because if you have an article with 75,000 views and one with 300, then you will as a percentage get more sales on your website from the one with 75K article views, simple percentages and click through rates, sure the click-through rate maybe less than 1/2 or 1/3 but with that degree of difference - who cares.

You have the traffic and a percentage of those will become buyers you see? Thus if I write a "trite" article about the "10 Most Popular Hair Style for 2007" which I did and if it gets 75,000 article views which it did, I still come out ahead no matter how you slice it.

So, you can see the incentive of thinly written, trite content does pull on one's reality if their goal is solely to get traffic. My goals are not traffic anymore and I do not often write silly articles like that, as it was more of an experiment for me, the subject simply does not interest me, and I could care less "What Paris Hilton Eats for Breakfast in the LA Jail," but you can bet someone who writes that article today, will rock with traffic in the future. Think on this, I did and that title is now taken.

Article Marketing Tips - The Butterfly Effect

Its no surprise that article marketing has become so popular in recent years and its fast becoming one of the most reliable ways of generating quality traffic especially if you want to build a list of highly responsive subscribers for whatever niche you are targeting.

You have probably heard the expression "from small acorns grow big oak trees" and this is true for article marketing because the work you do now will reward you with massive traffic in the future. Just one quality article which you write today can spread across the internet within a matter of months or even weeks.

If your article is well written and provides quality information it will be published on other websites and used as content for related ezines. Each article that you write will have your resource box at the bottom which should include a brief description about your website and what you are offering.

The resource box is the most important part of your article because it directs people to your website so it should clearly explain what you are offering to each person who reads it. If you want to improve your search engine rankings you should also use a specific keyword phrase as the anchor text for your link.

When people use your article as content for their website it will not only generate traffic but also give you a one way link so if you use a keyword phrase as the anchor text it will improve your rankings for that specific search term. This is by far the easiest way to get quality one way links from high traffic websites for free.

When list owners include your article as content in their ezine your website will be exposed to thousands of subscribers who are all interested in that topic. So if you are using a squeeze page to build your own list you will receive an instant surge of new subscribers every time your article is used in a related ezine.

These are the two main benefits of writing articles and if the quality of the information that you provide is good your articles will continue to generate traffic for many years. As your articles spread across the internet your website will appear higher up in the search engine results pages which will generate even more traffic.

So if you are thinking of using articles to promote your website and you feel like its a daunting task just remember that everyone has to start small by writing their first article. As you progress and continue to write more articles you will start to generate more and more traffic which will continue to increase over time.

Article Marketing - How College Students Can Make Some Extra Money

Have you ever wondered if there was an easy way to make money on the web? Well, if you are already into writing content for the web, or for your forum, or even for school, there just may be a solution. Article writing, believe it or not, can be a very lucrative and yet easy way for college students to make some quick money on the web. The internet is really a large consortium of articles with quite literally millions and millions of pages of information, all at your fingertips. It is a library of knowledge that is never big enough, and constantly thirsts for information, every second of every day.

So how do you get started? Well, first you need to write an article. The article can be about anything; anything going on in the world or in your head. Don't feel like writing it yourself? Well, there are people out there you can hire to write these articles for you. These people are called "ghostwriters". Their job is to write articles about varying subjects and sell them for general use. These articles are designed to allow the buyer to place their name on them. Some sites allow submission of these articles, but they are often lower quality, and don't demand a very high price. The best strategy is to write an article yourself with approximately 200-400 words. You don't want the article too short, as you are providing value to the net. Too long, and the article sounds like a monologue.

Once you've written an article, now it is time to find a site that pays for articles. One of the best sites I have found is Associated Content . This site pays anywhere from $5 to $50 an article, depending on the quality and demand of your article. Articles that are in high demand are indicated on the site, and usually demand much higher payments. Before submitting your article, make sure to follow any guidelines specified. Also, indicate whether or not you would like to submit your article as "exclusive" or "non-exclusive". Exclusive means you are giving up your author rights to the website; meaning, you will not be able to use this article as your own again. Non-exclusive means exactly the opposite; you keep your author rights over the article. Exclusive articles usually demand the highest prices.

Another way to make money from your articles is to create your very own e-book. The book can perhaps be a school project or a college student term paper of interest. Or even, a solution to a problem. There are plenty of free guides out there that show you how to do this. Once you have created your masterpiece, you just need to sell it to the great wide world. One of the best ways to sell your creation is through an affiliate program. Sites like Clickbank or Commission Junction are available to assist you in this process. From here on, you can utilize your own clout on MySpace or FaceBook, in order to build clout and popularity toward your book; to help sell your book.

While writing articles may not make you rich, it definitely provides a good steady cash flow and is probably the most reliable way on the net for college students to make extra money.

Article Marketing - Explaining the Mystery of Article Marketing

Article marketing is one of the easiest ways to generate quality targeted traffic to your web site, and yet it remains a mystery to so many people online.

I intend to take the mystery out of article marketing in this article why is of course written as part of a massive article marketing campaign.

So what is article marketing?

Article marketing involves the writing of short internet based articles for the purpose of submitting them to online article directories which will publish the articles as content for their own website and offer the articles as content for other websites. This provides content for their web sites, and in exchange, they are willing to give your link some exposure.

One of the keys to article marketing is creating an author bio which includes at least one link to your website, and is generally placed at the end of your article. This link is one of the most critical components of the article marketing strategy, as that link will drive the bulk of the traffic that is central to just about any article marketing purpose. When people click on your link, they of course get to visit your site and the rest is up to you.

When you submit your articles to an online article directory, they will first approve or disapprove the article based on its quality and relevance to the theme of their website. In most cases, if the articles are written with decent language and grammar, are written about a topic that is included in their directory (and there are many that are general-purpose),and contain reputable content of just about any kind that is legal, the article directories will generally publish the articles. And that is about it now you know how the process of article marketing works.

The next step is to start writing articles, including your links, and submitting them to the right directories.

Article Income Secrets - 3 Quick & Powerful Ways to Create eBooks With Your Articles

Article marketing is a great way to drive visitors to your web sites. The problem is that many people think and will even teach you that you cannot make any money with your articles.

Well, I'm here to tell you that there are several ways to make money with your articles.

One of the best and fastest ways to profit from your articles is to create ebooks. Many people teach and/or are convinced that it takes a tremendous amount of time and effort to create an ebook. The good news is that it can be quick and easy.

1. A collection - Just collect several of your articles around the same topic and turn them into an ebook. You can either just offer them all together or divide the ebook into sections. My first traditional book was simply a collection of 52 of my articles divided into three categories.

2. A theme topic - You can collect 5 - 10 articles around a specific topic and create chapters. To create a chapter you can either add further information to each article or bundle a few articles together to create a chapter. My very first ebook "Beat the BOZOS: How to Deal with Difficult People without Becoming One" was created from several articles on the challenge of dealing with difficult people.

3. Record & Transcribe - This is my absolute favorite way to create an ebook. Hold a teleseminar and have it recorded. Then have the recording transcribed into a text document. It takes me about 30 - 45 minutes of editing to turn a teleseminar transcript into an ebook that I can sell right away.
